5mins vs. 5years

You know, it’s funny how people who struggle with one form of addiction or the other and want to quit are sometimes impatient with themselves. Just a reminder that you didn’t get there in one day, and it might take some time to get out. Here are a few tips that could guide you on your journey to recovery.

1. Creating the right environment (it may sound crazy, but maybe some social media platforms aren’t for you at this stage)

2. Accountability (find someone you trust to share your experience and let them know their role)

3. Get up (yes, you saw that right! When you fall, get up and continue those steps you’re taking to recovery)

4. Renew your mind (blah blah… Lol, you read till this point; kudos. Yes, you have to fill your mind with the void you’re about to create by letting go of that addiction.

5. Know your why! (why do you want to quit)

Notice I didn’t narrow down to any particular form of struggle; because I feel these principles could apply to whatever you or a friend may be going through.

Lastly, before I drop my mic 😅, YOU HAVE GOT THIS (highlights from Kelly Mebler’s session on Monday.)

Well, I hope all this helped. You could share your thoughts in the comments. I would love to hear them.

Enjoy the rest of your week. 🧡
